Come see what goes on behind the scenes at Shoreham lifeboat station on Sunday 18 June from 10am to 4pm.
The state of the art building on Kingston Beach will be welcoming visitors as usual who can go aboard the all weather Tamar lifeboat and D-class inshore lifeboat in the station.
You can also see the lifeboats in action when they launch twice during the day (operationally permitting) and the crew will carry out a man over board demonstration.
Visitors can meet the volunteer lifeboat crew and see the lifeboat models on display by the lifeboat model society. There is a competition for children and adults to get dressed in lifeboat crew kit as quickly as possible. The fastest will win a day with the lifeboat crew.
The sea safety team will be on hand to give advice as well and the children can meet our RNLI mascot Stormy Stan or have their face painted.
There will also be a bouncy castle, a tombola and refreshments stalls and a chance to buy a souvenir from the station’s shop.
Free admission. All proceeds go to Shoreham RNLI.
