William Restell II

1904 - 1924

September, 1904 saw another new lifeboat come to Shoreham and this too was called the William Restell. She cost £803 and was provided out of the legacy left by Mr. W. T. Restell and a donation of T. M. Restell. This lifeboat, another of the self-righting, pulling and sailing type, 35 feet long with a beam of 8 feet 6 inches, pulling ten oars with a crew of thirteen, saw ten years' service at Shoreham during which time she launched on service twelve times and saved nineteen lives.

In 1910 the lease of the site of the lifeboat house near the coastguard station expired and the station was moved back to the old site at Kingston.
