The inshore lifeboat was launched to a report of a boy trapped on rock groynes on the eastern arm of the harbour.

Once the crew arrived on scene the 13-year-old had been freed but he had suffered a cut to his foot. An ambulance crew treated him but due to the location of the groynes, they asked the lifeboat transfer him to the lifeboat station.

He was put into the inshore lifeboat and taken back to the station and handed over to the ambulance crew.
