The all weather lifeboat at Shoreham was sent to help a 45ft motor vessel, which had broken down.
The vessel was 18 miles south of Shoreham Harbour. Once on scene the all weather lifeboat’s inflatable Y boat was launched with three crew on board and two of them were transferred to the vessel to set up a towline and stay with the one person on board.
The motor vessel was then towed back to Shoreham Harbour by the lifeboat and met by the coastguard unit at the quay. The lifeboat then returned to station.
